It’s Really Not that Serious…..

It’s Really Not that Serious…..

Social netwoking is something that has become so popular nowadays, whether it be children or adults.  The first article that I found talks about how “social networking sites, while they include the ability to post written material to the web like blogs do, revolve much more around the ability of an individual to build a web "presence" and to create visible links with others in the network.”  In simple terms this is a good thing.  Almost any and everything that anyonw can think anbout can be done on the web, so if your able to make yourself look good on the web there is no telling how much ot can or cannnot help you.  The site also talks about how “many parents understand the appeal of social networking sites, as they are used to the lengths that youth will go to receive attention--whether positive or negative”, this is funny! Yea I bet parents do understand it more and more because they are beginning to become a part of it.  There are so many parents that are on facebook alone, like my father lol.  The second article talks about whether blogging is negative or positive, because since everything is a the tap of a key what if someone is looking for a job and their potential employer decideds to do a little research.  The fact that you took interest to something and decided to do this in your free time can either hurt or help you. The blog states that “one blogger posted recently that he lies in interviews. That wouldn't thrill a prospective employer if they knew about it. Another job seeker's blog mentions that she loves to party all night, drinks to excess on a regular basis, and steals on occasion. Again, not a profile that would thrill most employers.” Now in this case this blogger was just not smart about what he was putting out on the web, but I guess you can give him credit for being honest?!?!?!?!?  My personal opinion is I watch what I do and say because someone either has a tape recorded or a camera.  Too many people have access to the web and I personally don’t need anyone raining on my parade anytime soon! But it ahs impacted my life some what I can’t go two days without at least checking my facebook and twitter lol, and now my blog!
